Minara is a smart digital platform that connects masjids with their community by simplifying communication, managing masjid related acivities, and providing essential features like prayer times, Qibla direction, and announcements—all in one place.

At Minara, ("we", "us", or "our") are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Minara App"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us or through the App’s features:

• Personal Data: Name, email address, phone number, and profile picture.
• Community Data: Masjid affiliation, Jamath membership status, and marriage application details.
• Payment Information: We do not process any type of payments. We collect proof of payment screenshots and send it to the admin. We use OCR technology for verification. We do not store card or bank details. we dont have any kind of payment gateways in our app.
• Location Data: Used for features like "Masjid Near Me" and "Qibla" only when actively used.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Verify your membership within a specific Masjid Jamath.
• Track your monthly subscriptions and donations.
• Generate digital certificates and receipts.
• Send prayer-time notifications and Masjid announcements.
• Improve App functionality through anonymized analytics (Sentry/Firebase Analytics).

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase (by Google). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. Your information is shared only with:

• Masjid Administrators: To verify your membership and payments.
• Providers: Third-party tools like Firebase (Database/Auth) and Sentry (Error tracking) to maintain App
performance.

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information.

• Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly from the "Danger Zone" section in the Profile screen. This will remove your profile, personal data, and anonymize your records in our database.
• Data Accuracy: You can update your name and phone number at any time via the Profile settings.

6. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Minara. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of such third-party sites. We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any external websites they visit before providing any personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 10. We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from children under 10 years of age. If we become aware that such information has been collected without verified parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete that information from our systems as soon as possible.

We may use cookies or similar technologies to enhance user experience and analyze usage patterns. These technologies help us understand how users interact with the app and improve our services. You can choose to disable cookies through your device settings.

12.Identity Information for Certificate Generation

To ensure accuracy in official documents such as marriage certificates, the Minara App may require users to enter their name exactly as it appears on their Aadhaar card or other government-issued identification. This information is used solely for the purpose of generating accurate and verifiable certificates.

We do not collect, store, or process sensitive Aadhaar details such as Aadhaar numbers, biometric data, or any government-issued identification numbers. Only the user-provided name and relevant details required for certificate generation are used within the app.

Users are responsible for providing accurate information. Minara is not responsible for errors in certificates resulting from incorrect or mismatched user input.
